My Latest Musical Experience
My latest musical experience was on Monday evening, June 5, 2017 at Colectivo on 68th and Wells in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. I in my wheelchair and a friend listened to a quintet from the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (MSO)on the patio of the coffee shop.
It was a brass band with five musicians. The instruments were two trumpets, one french horn, and two trombones. The program was music from the Renaissance to Ragtime with some Bach.
We shared a table with an interesting couple who were season ticket holders who know a lot about the symphony. The pastry and coffee we had added to the enjoyment.
The proceeds from Friends of MSO go to fund these free concerts held on the first Monday of the month from September to June at a Colectivo in the area.
After the concert, we went to Balistreri's on 65th and Bluemound for pizza. While enjoying the food and drink, we listened to piped-in blues music.
My friend was able to take me only because her ill mother had died. Before her death, she needed constant attention.
I hope to have more pleasant musical experiences.
