This picnic takes place at Waukesha State Park on the 4th of July. This picnic takes place in the summertime. The year is 1950 or 1956. The family is gather to celebrate a child's birthday. The child is 4 or 6. but there is only one candle on the cake. The women standing at the table are sisters. Aunt Ines and Aunt Irene. They get along pretty good and work well together. Many family members showed up to the party. Grandparents, cousins, uncles and the birthday child's parents. The other children are cousins, or brothers and sisters. The sister prepared all the food and desserts. The menu includes sub sandwiches, cakes, pies, chicken, mac n cheese, potato salad, shrimp, and french fried potatoes. As well as blackberry, sweet potato and mulberry pies. Mr. Watts thinks there should be watermelon add to the menu. Beer for the men and lemon aide for the women and kids. Mrs. Dorothy said would have a beer with the men because she is a business woman. The family is having a wonderful time. They are playing horseshoe, racing and playing baseball. The grow ups are lighting fire works and shooting their guns in the air. While the young people are listening to a live band playing songs from the Beetles. Some family members went home and the rest are relaxing by the fire pit enjoying ice cream.
