(This story was inspired by a picture of a little boy sitting on the floor eating something, sticky looking, while a dog watches him attentively from the doorway.)
The dog is waiting to lick the boy’s face. Charlie is the happy dog and the little boy is Jeffrey Michael. Jeffrey Michael is sitting in the kitchen in their modern house.
His mother gave him jam and crackers and she is busy busy in the kitchen. She doesn’t even know he’s sitting on the floor.
He’s eating crackers, toast, peanut butter and jelly. He has a glass of coke, too. He’s not a very healthy eater. Charlie, the dog, is waiting to help! It’s morning and just Jeffrey and his mother live there.
After he eats, he goes outside and Charlie, his happy dog, follows him. Jeffrey leaves the kitchen a mess! His mother is upset and says “Jeffrey Michael get inside and clean up this mess!”
Charlie had licked Jeffrey’s face so it was clean.
Jeffrey is a smart and sneaky boy. He is between five and six years old. His mom didn’t stay mad, because he’s so cute.
Jeffrey has a lot of friends to play baseball with and he throws the ball for Charlie to bring to him.
It must be spring or summer. It’s warm outside, but wet. They come in all muddy and have to take a bath.
