Betty Lou is playing a guitar in the park. It is in a rural part of Nashville, Tennessee.
She is on the bench because the grass is wet and full of leaves. There are spikes on the bench.
It’s late October.
She is by herself. She is lonely. Waiting for someone to join her. Waiting for a man but he already left.
She does not play in the park often. She plays “Susie Bell” and “Nobody Knows the Troubles I’ve Seen.”
She has a feather on her and was eating chicken, but not anymore.
She will get up and dance around. She’ll do the one-eyed polka because she has something in her eye. And because she has hardly any clothes on and can’t move.
The girl should comb her hair so she can see…That is a fad.
Next she will write a song (called) “Don’t Touch My Guitar”. The guitar is colorful.
