It was such a coincidence, we were stopped at a red light, and I saw my cousin, who I haven't see in almost a year, in the car next to us. My cousin's name is Rachel. We waved excitedly and rolled down the windows. We started yipping and laughing. Then, the light turned green and the cars behind us started honking aggressively. Rachel suggested that we continue reminiscing at the dog park up the street. So off we went! When we arrived at the park, Rachel and I got a parking spot right in front. She opened the back door of the car and out tumbled six rambunctious puppies. I opened my door and my eight hit the pavement. Some of the kids took off to chase a nearby squirrel while the rest played tug-of-war and wrestled in the fresh green grass. It was a partly sunny day in the middle of August. Rachel and I sat under the tree in the dappled shade and talked about our owners, gossiped about the neighbors, and caught up on the latest family news. After a couple hours, the kids were worn out so we piled them into our cars and went on our way. We promised to meet up again one more time before fall arrives and obedience school begins.
