Pure Happenstance
He’s a baby. He’s got a great smile. He reminds me of my late father, Jacob. It’s a long time ago since Jason lived. He looks tickled pink. I want to call him cute. I want to call him Hap, for Happy.
Hopefully he came from next door because that is not a good way to carry him! He’s sitting in a cart. It looks like he’s getting ready to leap. He has a pleasant and sunny disposition. He’s happy. I can tell by the smile on his face. I hope he has a family because he’s going to need help getting out of there. I think there’s a doctor in the family because that’s a doctor’s bag.
He has brothers and sisters. The brothers’ names are Bobby and Billy with a y. Sisters are Anna and Susan. Then there is Mom and Dad and Baby Hap. Perhaps, he’s the baby in the family (laughter)! He’s smiling. Is he David? Maybe Hap is just a nickname.
The family is there. There is furniture in the background, so it is inside the house. The family put him in the bag to take a picture. They are making him laugh.
He’s thinking, “I’m a little stinker!” You can tell by his eyes. He’s one year old. He was born last year. He wants to go ride a carousel. He can smell the buttery popcorn, scents of blooming plants, hot dogs, cotton candy and the music in the middle of the merry go round.
He wants to go to bed and rest for a while. He might have a baby bottle with milk and maybe a pacifier in the bag. He won’t get anything out of that pacifier (Someone imitates a baby crying sound)! Someone comes along because he’s crying and tries to figure out why, hopefully Mother.
His mother picks him up and comforts and wraps him in swaddling clothes. Reminds me of Baby Jesus on December 25th. He wants to go to the barber for a haircut. That’s because he was born in a manger.
