Jose` is younger than 30 years old. He is raising chickens—feeding them.
Ruthie asks “Can you eat them?”
Glen explained that Jose` is raising chickens in the back yard of his house outside. This is Mexico summer time so its hot, too hot!
The sounds we hear is “peep-peep”, they want to talk to the man feeding them, feeding them good, all sizes. “Nice and fat!”
“The man needs new curtains” noted Jeanette. Ruthie said “I would like to tell the chickens that I thoroughly enjoy the turkey—You can tell them that” There is a terrible bad smell. Ruthie doesn’t think so, it smells like chickens, I like chickens regardless of what they smell like. Lucy says she would act like a chicken by peeping. Is that curtain for a door asked Jeanette. He is feeling lousy due to the weather, too hot! Jose` dreams of “running away” “liquid to drink on hot day”. Joes` has a family his wife’s name is Maria and he has a boy named Juan and a girl named Juanita who both know how to feed chickens. Jose` owns the house. Ruthie shared “I just want a an to run the house”. We wondered, What would you want to do if you were on a chicken farm? Ruthie would “Run like hell”, Mary, Lucy, and Jeannette all said “Feed and pet them”. Jose` cleans the coop and swears at the chickens. The family don’t like it when chickens go in the house, they belong outside. The children run like crazy with wife cooks dinner. They are having baked chicken potatoes and salad. The chickens want to eat dissert the wife and children would like some sweets. Jose` will eat dinner after he is done feeding the chickens so he will wash-up for supper. “I hope he pays the rent”, says Ruthie. He gets tired and goes to bed early to get up early by the sound of the rooster crowing.
And, everyone said “Cock-a-doodle-doo”
