It is fall in down town Milwaukee.
Two men are entertaining a bar group at night.
One guy is on the drums, one guy is on the saxophone.
They are inside a tavern with glass behind them.
The drummer has a cymbal and is hitting a bell. He is wearing beads and has long hair.
The guy on the sax is really enjoying playing; he sure looks good.
Drunkards are making noise; glasses clinking.
People dancing around to the music; hands clapping.
The guys say to the bartender, “Set 'em up again Joe”.
The drummer's name is Harry and the sax player's name is Johnny.
Harry and Johnny are sweethearts or just good friends.
Their wives are always at home with the kids while they are playing.
They are just about done before leaving to go home.
They don't know how long they have been playing because they have been in the tavern too long.
The song playing is, “Goodnight Irene”; soon to be followed by, “Show me the way to go home”.
Then the owner will say, “Everybody out”.
