Two little boys are discussing the pros and cons of what should they do. Perhaps one boy said my dad is bigger than your dad. The boys in the background don’t want to participate when fists are involved. The boy on the left is not afraid of anything, he looks like he is in charge. His name is Joey. The little guy on the right is named Kevin, he is a bit worried about what the other boy is saying based on his stance. They are past the point of discussion and are ready to fight. The smaller boy is crouched, he is more cautious, standing back and checking things out before he acts. The two boys are strangers, they met on the beach and had a confrontation. The fight started because one boy kicked sand in the other boy’s face. Kevin has a smug expression and is the instigator of the fight, he has a smirk on his face as if to say “what’s your problem.” Or maybe he is wearing that expression to look tough and hide his fear. This fight happened back in the 50’s based on the clothes they are wearing. Joey doesn’t want to get his white shirt dirty and doesn’t want to go back to his mom with a messy shirt. In the background, a ball game is going on and a boy is catching a ball. The kids in the background are bystanders watching the fight. The one on the left is cautious and is looking at things, but the crouching boy is ready to jump. It looks like there might be a baseball diamond in the background, and the children are playing a game. The buildings in the background may be a school or a hospital. If Kevin is smart, he will run for it. Kevin is a bit timid, but he’s sticking to his guns. He might kick Joey and run, getting his shot in and running away so he doesn’t get beat up. The boys are on vacation and are at the beach. The parents are having adult beverages at the bar, letting their children do what they want and survive on themselves. Parents in the 50s let their kids run free. The older crouching boy in the back is going to run between Kevin and Joey and break up the fight. He is putting down the baseball bat and is ready to intervene. He’s waiting a few more moments before he steps in. He will grab Kevin or Joey by the suspenders and say “I’M TELLING!” The little boy in the background is the kid brother of either Joey or Kevin, by the way he is standing he’s showing he’s got stuff but he’s being cautious.
