Stephen Takes to the Air.
It’s a little boy in an airplane. His name could be Stephen. He used to be in the air training corps.
What does he have those big boots on for?
It’s an accelerator. It helps him to take off.
They aren’t magic boots, but they are very good boots.
They only come down to there (oh yeah).
There’s an engine in the back. It’s to help it get off the ground. It’s not a new engine.
It’s happening in America, in Toledo.
Did I say this was Stephen? Did I say that already?
What are those things going up there at the back? I think they are some kind of protection for little Stephen. He’s very good but he’s not very old. I would think he’s about 8 or 9. He’s got lovely big gloves, so that’ll keep his hands warm.
The back bit protects his shoulders, so the engine doesn’t come through from the back.
Is this noisy? I think it would be what would help him to be lifted up. As he presses with these big boots, he presses that when he wants it to operate.
It makes a hrmm, hrmm, hrmm, noise. Just kind of a lifting noise.
He arranged to get off at Toledo. He came from Chicago. But he was planning to go to Detroit before that, and then he would go onto Toledo.
What’s this in the barrow underneath? This here? What’s in that? Is that some people around the table? It looks like some. They are spectators. They are watching for Stevie. He looks very confident. And he’s got his head covered so he can keep his ears warm when he goes up.
I think that’s enough.
