Someone’s out in the rain. Her name is Louise. She is waiting for a ship to come in, or possibly waiting for a ride. There’s not that much rain. She is anxiously going to cross the street.
Right before this picture, the rain came and she was going to the store and then to meet her friend for lunch. The car lights are not on yet, so maybe it is late afternoon and she will meet her friend for tea. I don’t think she was expecting the rain because she has her sandals on so she wasn’t prepared for it. However, she did have her umbrella with her so she’s probably somewhere in the south. You can hear the drip drop of rain on the umbrella. It’s probably in the 1950’s because you can tell by the style of the cars in the picture. It’s in the summertime because she has sandals on.
She seems to be running around in the middle of the street. Maybe her friend finally came to get her, or possibly she turned around and got in a cab. She then went home and got pneumonia. She swears she will never come to this place again!
