This little dog is named Lucky. He lives in a nursing home near where I grew up. They found him wandering around the trash bins at the shopping center near the facility . He had matted fur, fleas and ear mites. One of the employees brought him in and gave him a bath and a snack. He was so grateful. He fell asleep in her arms. I suppose he had been on the lamb for quite some time judging by the condition he was in.
He now lives at the facility. Every day, he walks from room to room stopping to say hello to the residents. He will even jump on their laps if they ask him to. He has been spotted taking a short nap from time to time on someone's lap. You can tell the residents love him and it reminds them of dogs they likely owned before they came to live at the facility.
Lucky loves wearing his cape. I think on some level, he knows he has super powers. Mostly, I think he likes how people fuss over him when he wears his cape and wanders the halls of the facility spreading his love to anyone in need.
I'm not sure who is luckier though. Lucky, or the residents. He makes everyone's day with his cuddles and kisses.
