It’s in the shipyard. Is that a grapevine? I’d say it’s the 1920’s or 30’s. They are on a swing. Looks like they are on a carnival ride. That one might be the mom taking the daughter on a ride. They look like well-to-do ladies at the shore sitting in a cabana. That one looks like a man dressed like a lady. Maybe they ARE at a carnival. They are swinging ladies. They are called Hansel and Gretel maybe. They could have met by the rice or while they were eating. They are professional riders, they get paid to show off! Maybe they are waitresses. They will need a break pretty soon. They feel happy because they are swinging. She looks happy but he looks….like a man. They are conspicuous. They dream the ride will be over, that it will end. Eventually it will. There must be other people around enjoying the rides and running around. When they get tired of staying here they will need to go home and cook dinner or clean. They might not get tired because they just keep sitting there. They will get cold and go inside. They could keep doing this all their lives.
