The Book of Innocence
By the Ladies of One Centre
The dog is inquiring why he is not getting any. It looks like he is taking it all to himself, he isn’t going to give the dog any. The boy is named Billy and the dog is Jack. He is being punished, he has a lot in front of him. He isn’t supposed to eat candy or treats. The family name is Happy. Billy is in the hallway so no one can catch him and he is helping himself to the jam. He could be in a big family. The family is gone away somewhere, out for a drive. The parents are not far from the house, out for the drive. The dog is terribly concerned that the boy has gotten into anything he can put his hands on. Billy is the only boy and he doesn’t have any sisters yet. It looks like Billy and Jack get along. He might get punished, he might get cautioned not to do this again. He might get scolded, but he won’t get spanked. Billy will grow up to do something with people. He will be a dog lover, a jam lover and a protector. He is hoping to take more jam and not get caught and the dog will keep trying to get the boy to do what he is supposed to do and not what he is doing.
