The Boy
We’re trying to figure out what’s going on in his hand. There’s a little boy sitting in bed with maybe a book in his hand. Jeremiah is his name. (Someone makes a little smile.)
That little boy is trying to put a boat together. He’s got the top in his left hand and the bottom in his right. The little boy, Jeremiah, has got a family. His family is there sleeping. The boy wants a bed of his own. He has a girlfriend even though he’s only six years old. The little boy is clapping his hands.
The little boy is sick in bed. The Doctor’s satchel is on the bed. The Doctor and parents are at the foot of the bed. He has a toy in his hand. It’s a track to a Caterpillar or a bulldozer.
The lamp on the side table is a small and it looks like a boy’s lamp. That shows us that this is a boy’s room. There’s a plate and a glass of milk on that table as well which tells us he is sick in bed. But I never had any children so I don’t know if that is right. Would a mother give a sick child a glass of milk? I don’t know.
That little boy wants to go to sleep but someone is keeping him awake. His older sister and brother are out there dancing. He wants to get in on that. That little boy feels left out because he has the flu and is sick in bed.
Whose bag is that on the bed? It looks like it is the Doctor’s satchel. They live in the early days. The little boy has a pet dog named, Friend. The dog is not with the boy right now. We haven’t got to what’s next because we haven’t got to it yet. The Doctor is going to pick up the satchel and the Mom is going to escort the Doctor to the front door.
