It's a dog, ain't it?
That's a dog with shoes. A lot of shoes!
Roger locked up his dog because he had to go grocery shopping. He locked up his dog because he figured he'd be safer at home.
He looks happy.
Maybe he sees some other dogs?
Jinx? He got bored and started chewing on the shoes.
It was a sunny day in Pasadena and Roger decided to take Jinx with him to go shopping. He knows his wife doesn't like the dog so he decided to take Jinx with him. Jinx hears his owner open the door.
There's an ambulance going by and he can hear the sirens. There's blood on the dog's feet, so evidently he's been injured somehow. Or he ran through the crime scene that the ambulance is on their way to. The fire department is following the ambulance because there may be a fire. 100 women line up outside to try on the shoes. At that time, the ambulance and fire department are there, so the 100 women decide to move out of the way and go to their homes. So Jinx is lucky that the fire department and ambulance are there because the 100 women wouldn't have any shoes to try on, since Jinx chewed them all up. Jinx was in hopes to be a mascot in the Rose Bowl Parade. So seeing the ambulance is there, he's hoping someone will heal him so he can join the parade. The 100 women are disappointed (as some are the Queen and her Court) and they wanted some good-looking shoes. Roger decided that Jinx's condition has much improved and the parade is starting, so they went on their way. The happy ending of the story is...
the shoes were used on a float in the parade as decorations and the float won 1st place! The float won because of the dog and what he all went through in a short amount of time. That's when the circus came to town...
