The boy’s eating something he shouldn’t get into: probably cookies!
His name is Roger. The dog’s name is WOOF.
Roger is seven. He has one brother, Johnny, who is 9, and three sisters: Gladys, age 8, Ellen, age 13, and Dorothy age 3.
The rest of the family is just getting home from vacation Bible School. His mother is picking them up.
Roger’s got something red in his hand.
It must be summer: he is drinking cherry Kool Aid.
He’s been outside doing something: he’s got a tear in his pants. He and his dog Woof were playing outside and he tore his pants.
He’s been taking advantage of being alone.
He got into the special cookies!
Roger is smart enough to know he’s in trouble.
The dog wants some cookies!
Roger is going to share some cookies with the dog.
Roger is in trouble! He and Woof are eating a LOT of cookies.. They won’t be hungry…
When his mother comes in and sees this, she’ll say, “You’re in trouble NOW!”
Mom’s going to call Dad! And Roger’s stomach is aching.
When Dad gets home, he’s going to tell Mother to take care of this, and Dad’s going to eat the leftover cookies!
When Roger grows up, he’ll go and do WONDERFUL things!
That’s the way boys are!
And they’re good to their mothers.
