A man is trying to dissect a lobster. It’s show and tell. It is taking place in the science class room. Probably 8th grade. It’s Roland Park Middle. The man is named Jose’ and the lobster is Billy. Jose’ is wearing a hat because he’s in a disguise because he doesn’t want anyone to recognize him. He played hooky yesterday to catch Billy. He doesn’t want anybody to know who he is! There are lobsters all over the place in the Bayou. Hmm… I guess Jose’ is feeling a bit stranged because he doesn’t know his way around yet. He is new to the school; he is new in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is called Roland Park Community. Jose’ found Billy at Stony Run, the creek that runs by.
It doesn’t have many students taking this course. It’s only 4 students! There is a person behind him trying to identify Jose’. Her name is Emma. She’s not sure who it is, as the hat he has on is a disguise. The girl looks like she is holding her nose because she doesn’t like the smell 9of the lobster. I don’t know-- middle school boys don’t always use deodorant!
Billy feels like he wants to go back into the water. He feels very sad about being dissected. Billy tells Jose’, “If you will take your hand off my tail, I will be able to think better about what’s next!” Billy says, “I would like to travel around the world and make friends with other lobsters.” Billy would like to go around the world and study other lobsters to see if he can’t improve himself. He wants to see how other lobsters live. The person to the left of Jose’ is watching him to see if they can do it. But Billy thinks it would be best to see why Jose’ is wearing a disguise. Because he doesn’t want anyone to recognize him! So Billy looks for the nearest phone so he can call a detective to find out who Jose’ is. It’s very important to make sure we know who our friends are. We want to be with people that are kind!
