On the Galveston beach. Her name is Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary. "How does your garden grow? With silver bells and cockle shells and pretty maids all in a row." She is wearing old-fashioned, not up-too-date clothes. Fish swimming. The snakes. Oh, the snakes! Swishing. Her feet on the sand, nice and soft. Cold, sometimes hot. That dress on the beach looks stupid. She wishes that she could be in a pair of shorts and a halter top. She has family but they didn't come because it is too hot! She wants to dance. Let her dance! She dances the Tango, Fox-trot, Quick-step, and the Waltz. Dancing on the sand is not very exciting, kind of clumsy. Dancing makes her feel happy!
