The Important Training
January 15, 2020
The child is very young. He has some trouble finding something. He's looking for something, or someone special. His father (to the boy) is named "Dad". The boy can talk and he can walk, he's 4 years old. Where's the mother? She's out shopping with a friend.
In this picture, the boy is being tossed in the air in a spree of fun and joy. The man is in the water and the boy is asking if it's ok to jump in the water.
"Do you know how to swim? I'll make sure to catch you so you don't fall in the water!"
They are on vacation in South Haven, MI, or maybe somewhere in Florida. It's summer, and they're wearing minimal clothing - A bathing suit with a flag on it. You might go wading at this time of year.
The child looks scared to do anything, including learning how to swim. Dad says, "It's warm out today, the water will cool you off." To learn how to swim is an important thing to do, for everyone.
The father is in war, and he's reminiscing about this day. How can you make a good, fun trip, when war enters?
