Jim is in a park on a lake, he is all alone. He is walking across the rocks because it's a nice day out and he needs the exercise. Jim has a bet on whether or not he can make it across. Jim is trying to make some money, Jim's friend is watching him from far off to make sure he goes across the lake. The water is shallow, he won't drown if he falls in. Jim still has a quarter of a mile to go.
The wind has started to blow and he has on a light jacket to keep warm.
It looks like barrels that Jim is walking across, someone has put them in the water so they could go across the lake. It's steep around the lake so they walk across it, because it's faster.
Jim is going to paint when he gets to the other side of the lake. He is going to paint a picture of the lake. Jim is carrying all his paint supplies so he has to be careful, if he fell in it would ruin all canvas.
Jim is going to show his painting to his friends after he is done.
