Could be on a bus or a subway. They could be our friends.
Students...sleepy students, or workers.
Joseph is on the left.
The third one is a sleepy guy. His name is Aloysius. he's a student, studying eloquent things.
The one in the middle - Peter - has been sleeping for about 30 minutes, coming home from a long days work. He's a teacher.
They're trustworthy, 'cause they're riding on the bus.
Aloysius and Peter are friends, and they're going home.
It could be Chicago or New York. It's a busy place to be going to sleep on the bus or the subway.
They're eating custard. Joseph makes ice cream sodas in the station, the place where they make ice cream...the custard stand.
Could be eating a custard cone - vanilla, of course. It must be something simple. What if it spills???
Peter was falling asleep and the ice cream soda fell out of his hand. The janitor, Alex, will clean it up.
What does Aloysius have in his hand? Could be books - he's a student - so they could be books about how to make ice cream sodas. But he has more books, and an animal. A stuffed animal. He grabbed the stuffed animal and ran away!
He has shouted that he is holding in his lap - snowshoes, for traction in the snow. He's got some warm clothes with his boots (or shoes), with his overcoat.
On the subway they do have police, and they're looking for Aloysius. They're searching for him. They search his bag and find the toy, and then they give it back to the child.
Peter and Joseph just go home on the bus or subway. They'll not travel with Aloysius on
