Norm Peters is between 4-5 years old. He is not in the hospital, it looks like his home. He is in bed because it is bedtime or he has a toothache or mumps. Little boys go to bed between 7-8PM. He might be reading a book, saying his prayers, eating, or sleeping.
Norm’s parents are downstairs in the living room reading the newspaper
Norm has an older brother who sleeps with him at night. Ruth never had to sleep with any brothers or sisters but she did sleep with her parents because she was the baby.
He has a sheet over him that is made of cotton which is soft. Grandma had an old rough wool blanket.
Norm’s mother makes sure he is tucked in, drinks water, says prayers, and a kiss goodnight before turning off the light. He needs to lay down before going to sleep. The toy can stay on the bed until he is sleeping and then take it off.
