Linda is sitting on a bench playing her guitar. She doesn't have an audience, but there are leaves all around. It is fall. She is trying to write a song. It is a bright and sunny afternoon, and the sun is shining on the fence along the side of her yard. She forgot to rake the leaves because she was too busy playing her guitar. She just pushed the leaves on the side so she could sit down.
She's wearing a bright blue outfit with blue pants and a pretty blue top. She even has blue shoes. She's practicing for a performance tonight, and there are people walking along the sidewalk in front of her house listening to her. They are on their way downtown for a parade. After the parade there is a band concert in the park downtown. The band is all going up into the bandshell.
Linda is part of a guitar celebration in her town.
She will be playing in front of the bandshell leading the band. People are bringing their picnic baskets and finding tables. There is an Ice Cream vendor walking around with his cart, and another selling cotton candy. Some people brought homemade cookies to have with the ice cream.
After the picnic there was a bonfire, and everyone roasted marshmallows while the band played again. They played even after it started to get dark.
Eventually people packed up their picnics. Children played with sparklers, and some people set off rockets which went higher than the trees. Then they would burts open like flowers. To end the evening there were fireworks. As they were leaving the moon was coming up. Even a few stars were starting to show. It was a perfect day.
