Lois exclaimed “It’s Christmas!” “There’s snow all-around” agreed Liz. It must be cold and lots of snow everywhere, it must be England.
There is a wreath is on the door. It looks like there’s a church at the back. If we listen we could hear sleigh bells and Christmas carols.
“His name could be George, or even Bill” said Ivy
He has Christmas cards in his hand. It’s the postman and he’s bringing cards and mail from overseas. “He could be delivering jewelry or even giving a blouse” said Liz. He loves it, it’s his job. “He’s delivering to everybody and George dips into his bag” Mary said.
George or Bill is delivering to an old couple, they will be thinking about their children and presents. “The family will be excited” laughed Lois. They will want to know what’s in the presents.
People give him a whisky or rum, it helps to keep him warm. The father opened the door to the postman, his name is Eddie. Eddie invites the postman in for a drink.
The postman wishes them all the best and he goes and does some carol singing. Afterwards he goes back to his wife and say he had a rotten day.
