They’ve a job to do. Very nice. It’s taking place in somebody’s backyard, not in Val’s place, somewhere else. It’s just before lunch and it’s probably summertime. They’re feeling very hungry. They were very clever. They helped people clean up by licking the plates. This is a photo by the Library of Congress. They are gathered because it was somebody’s birthday. They must be very smart and cleaver ladies because they are preparing a big dinner. One lady is called Val and the other lady is called Francis. They know each other because they work together and they are doing well. There are quite a few people there. They bring some of the things on at that time. You could hear the sounds of cake, special quality, a mixed lot. There are 17 cakes there. You could hear swearing and quite a few sounds because there was a lot to be done. They wanted to go to the toilet. Then they ate their lunch, a bit of everything. The cakes are very yummy and beautiful. The gentleman over there is looking very poised and pleased with everything. They had to clean up everything with special soap, Maria helped. It was beautiful after the good food they washed up and went around singing and dancing.
