It's the Fall of 1943.Mission Hills Baptist Church in Clarksville TN is having their Thanksgiving dinner. It has been an abnormal Fall with warmer weather and leaves still on the trees. It's a feast of all times. The women of the church have prepared many items for everyone to eat. The feast is plentiful. Everyone's eyes are bigger than their belly. There are ribs, baked beans, potato salad, cornbread, rolls, coleslaw, sweet potatoes, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, gravy, and many casseroles. For dessert is pumpkin pie.
The young children in the background are patiently waiting as their stomachs are eating their backbones. They are trying to plan how to be the first in line.
It has been a very busy day for the church. They had service that morning, and after dinner they will be having a singing with special guests.
Everyone soon finds their food, and relax to eat. Everyone is content, and their bellies are full. Happy Thanksgiving Ever
