The Winning Leap
A couple from Waterloo,Iowa,decided to take a well-earned family vacation to their time-shared condo in Key West, FL. When Rita and Bob told their children; Judy and Tom, about the trip, they were thrilled to be going again to their Key West condo and it's white sand-beaches. Bob informed the children they would be going over the Father's Day week end. That they would be flying, as Aunt Helen, a wealthy widow had offered the services of her private jet and her pilot James.
The children ran up the stairs, giggling and laughing as they began to pack. Bob said "Don't forget your swimming suits or the beach toys." Bob took early vacation so they could leave on Thursday morning.
They awoke to a beautiful sunrise Thursday morning. Not a cloud in the sky,and with high hopes for a wonderful day! Aunt Helen sent her limo and James got them to the airport safely and in plenty of time. They hurriedly boarded the private jet and before they knew it they were landing in Fort Myers. Their luggage was quickly loaded into their private yacht and they were taken swiftly to Key West.
Next morning they found themselves at the beach engaged in the first match of their annual Frisbee tournament, which was won by Rita and Judy. The second match was won by Bob and Tom. The third game score was a deadlock...10-10,only seconds remaining Bob threw the Frisbee very, very high but Rita took a flying leap, as though she had been "shot" out of a sling shot!!! Rita caught the Frisbee!!! Rita now becomes known as "Leaping Lena", for her efforts in getting the Frisbee and for the win of this tournment.
