to make his friends really laugh just to entertain them. He’s a happy go lucky
kind of guy, always on the move. He’s quite intelligent. To get out of his very
intelligent mode, he does pranks like this.
obviously quite flexible. He’s laughing right now because his friends are laughing.
He’s glad he accomplished his original goal.
But now he
is feeling cramped because he doesn’t realize the door is open. He thinks it is
closed. So, he starts begging his friends to open it. “Ok guys, you’ve had your
fun. It’s been pretty good. We are all laughing. I’m enjoying it. Enough now,
let’s move onto the next prank,” says Danny.

be fun but dangerous in terms of getting caught by the authorities yet they could
still get away with it.
walking down the street and walked right by a laundry mat where people their
age were doing their laundry, getting clothes in and out of the machines. “Yo,
Danny! Got an idea. How ‘bout if we dry you out?” the guys said.
Danny gets himself
in there and much to his surprise he fits the whole way. But once he gets in there,
he realizes that he is stuck. “Come on Danny, that’s enough. Let’s see what
else we can do.” Danny wiggles around awhile, starts to pant, and says “hey, guys,
I can’t get out of here.”
believe him. “Yo, buddy, your toes are sticking out, you’re laughing, and your
legs are starting to pop out.”
what you guys don’t understand is that my heels are stuck in the dryer opening.
Only one of my arms can move. I can’t get out on my own.”
The guys could
help to unstick his heels and untangle him. They’re not willing to do
that though. It’s a college town. Instead, the call out to the people in town. “See
what this guy is doing? He’s stuck. This is fun!” His friends are all still

and other bodily functions are calling.
course, makes the crowd laugh even harder and egg on the circumstances. Now,
Danny is boring to them since he can’t move and can’t do anything.
So, the crowd
decides to shut the dryer door and turn it “on”.
He’s a big
guy – 160 to 200 pounds, depending on how big his middle is. The dryer starts
grinding into motion making grrrrrring noises. Then it actually notches around
just enough to have his head pointing straight down.
By now the crowd
is really excited and calling more friends who are walking down the street. So
many people are gathering around that it’s hard to actually see the activity.
The crowd is
getting raucous. The campus police check on what is going on over there. As
they go around the block, they catch the attention of the real police who say, “What
is going on over there?”
police stop to break up the crowds to get to the laughing matter. Oddly enough
they burst out laughing, too.
still terribly cramped. Since they shut the door and turned on the dryer, he is
hot and sweaty. He’s got sweat pouring down his neck and face.
police assess the situation and disperse the crowds. They push the general
crowd away but keep the bad-doers in restraint.
go to open the door to get Danny out and guess what? The door WON’T OPEN!
They have to
call and wait for the mechanical staff to bring tools – pryers and pliers. They
wait for them to get there. It’s only another ten to fifteen minutes, which isn’t
they start prying the dryer door, the latch and the hinges. Finally, they get
the door open and thought that Danny would leap right out. He had been in so
long and couldn’t move anymore. They begin to help him out but he is very sore.
First, they get his legs out, but he is still upside down. They turn him around
and get his feet and knees to the ground. That’s a whole other trick by the
they wrestle him out of the dryer and he is crouched which makes him fall to
the ground and knock his head unconscious. They call an ambulance. (Full disclosure:
this did not happen to me personally!)
By now, it
was a story. The crowd has increased in
size, is uncontrollable as it continues to egg on the scene. They had to call
in the helicopters to break up the crowd.
show up! They are concerned about Danny being traumatized. They did a 20-minute
story about it. As it turns out, Danny was just a knuckle head and took it all
pretty well. He stood up and got his 20-minutes of fame on TV. The crowd
cheered him on.
He got his
fame, and sold the rights to the story.
Do not attempt this on your own no matter what might encourage you to do so.
Never have the urge to see if you can fit into small spaces.
At one time I tried this!)
