We want this to be a boy... a new baby boy! The baby is in a suitcase or a box or a carryall. There might be some letters printed on the side.. maybe it says, "HIPS." The baby might have been abandoned or the bag might be in a garage or it might be 'right here' where we are! We say his name is Tommy. He's about 3 months old.
He maybe just got out of a baby bath because he has no clothes on. It's not raining or snowing or cold weather because nobody would put a baby out in the cold without clothes. Baby Tommy isn't uncomfortable but he does want to get dressed. He is well fed but he might like a bottle of milk.
He wants to go with his Dad. It might be the first time his father saw him or the first time he's met his father. His father may even have put him in the bag as a joke and to be funny ... to make his mother laugh. His father is a traveling salesman and we can hear him whistling. Baby Tommy might be whistling too... if he could!
There aren't too many toys around.
We hear Tommy giggling and we hear music. Babies like rhythm. Tommy is saying, "DA DA, Bye Bye, and Ma Ma."
Tommy is happy and smiling. He has a nice home. There are no strangers around and he's happy about who's coming towards him. His mother works hard. She's standing behind him because he's toddling and she's there to help him. The baby might be staying home with mother.
We might be smelling an 'accident' because that happens with babies!
Tommy will be a devil when he's older!!
