Our story on April 22, comes from the picture on page 44 of the TimeSlips book.
There is a wired haired Terrier, who is female. This little Terrier is as cute as a button. She is white with black spots, frisky, hyper and always into something. She appears to have gone through all the shoes. She has been a busy puppy dog.
Russell is the name we gave her because she is such a strong-willed pup. The setting for this story could be a walk-in closet, shoe store, or the apartment of a young couple. Regardless of who lives in this dwelling, they are asking for trouble with those shoes lined up like that. Russell is thankful for having something to play with. She is scratching at shoes behind somebody’s back. A photographer has caught her attention. She hears people in the background and wonders how much trouble she is in.
“Get her out of that room,” someone hollers really loud. The surprised look in Russell’s eyes begs for the answer to the question, “What’s next?” She is also wondering, “Where is my master and what will happen, more disaster?” Immediately, Russell begins guarding her favorite shoe. After all Wire Haired Terriers were hunters before they were house pets, and the shoe is her prey. She is not going away empty handed.
Russell had fun making trouble. We bet she went ape making that photo. Shoes should never be left out like that. They should be hung up. We still maintain Russell is so cute.
