JJ settled in Hawaii around February. She was looking for peace of mind and she found that the water around her was restful and companionable. She found the water welcoming how very much like the people seemed to be. There were a lot of people who were participating in canoe racing, that were doing morning exercises. They were limbering up in the water and pushing the canoe in the water. When JJ no longer felt comfortable she left the water. The people who were exercising continued to limbering up and launching their canoes. JJ needed a place to dry and get warm, even though I offered her a place to change in the back seat of my car she decided to just sit in the sun. We sat where we could watch the people walking by who were laughing and talking while enjoying the sun and salt air and we enjoyed a cold drink.
