Its summertime, late summer a few years ago.
We see George - who is certainly not Bill or Phillip or Jimmy - taking a walk getting some exercise and going to the store. He is concentrating on crossing the rocks in the water. He better hurry because it is late in the day and the store may close before he gets there and then it will be dark and he won't be able to see the stones to get back home.
He will get some cold beer and chicken to cook for dinner. It crosses his mind that maybe his guest - Mary Isabelle, wants seafood. Perhaps his lady, 'my Mary', will help him cook too. Mary is his neighbor and will join him as he returns home. She will help him carry the bags. He hopes she will also make a nice bowl of potato salad … and maybe even a cake!!
He is thoughtful and has so much on his mind - the walks helps him clear his mind but he is a bit tired from the walking. He hears the rustling and sounds from the water as the small waves hit the rocks along the way. It is a little chilly today and he is glad he wore his jacket which is keeping the chill away, now it is also protecting him from getting wet as the rain begins. The start of the rain quiets the birds and brings attention to the croaking of the frogs. As he walks along in rhythm with the rain and the frogs - he imagines himself holding hands with the one he loves.
