They are walking to the grocery store down at the end of the block. Their names are Samuel and Sarah. They are husband and wife.
On the way to the store, they are making judgments and decisions about what the path is.
They are walking hand in hand on a hill top: it looks like much too much of a hill. It’s at 3 or 4 feet down. They should turn to the right so it’s not so steep as they go down the hill. They are taking advantage of the weather getting better so they can travel. It’s not raining, and it had been raining.
As they travel to the store, they have promised to meet friends for coffee before getting the groceries. There’s a local store that has places where people can drink coffee. It’s called the Bright Coffee Shop. They meet their friends John and Jane there. They tell their friends some news: this is the first time they have left their children together alone at home: it’s got to happen sometime! This is as good a time as any.
Then they go on to the grocery store, where they buy some things for the children: hamburger, cereal, and some candy.
