He's trying to get on the horse out in my back yard. I heard the guitar plunking and plinking, I heard the horse stutter and laugh like a horse does. And I heard the cowboy singing. Or maybe he was screaming. The fresh air of the great outdoors competed with the smells of the horse. Sam and Wilbur met the day Wilbur asked him for a ride. Sam thought better of it, afraid he'd break his back trying to give Wilbur a ride and suggested that Wilbur give the ride instead. They quickly became the only family each would ever know. Sam had been late and ran to jump on Wilbur. After which, Wilbur deftly stepped three feet sideways and Sam missed.
