Train the Trainer Evolves at TimeSlips

After a delirious 25 years of innovation, TimeSlips is ready to put the magical tools of meaningful connection into the hands of caregivers and volunteers everywhere.

Also known in social entrepreneur-speak as “scaling.”

With support from the Brookdale Foundation, the team has been working on creating:
– a new Introduction to Creative Communication Module
– a new “certification” process that can accommodate more people
– a Train the Train curriculum
– a scaling business plan
– a prototype for an APP that will replace our website’s Creativity Center and guide trainees through session prep, sessions themselves, and basic evaluation.

If it sounds like a lot… it is!
But it has been a thrill to imagine finally moving toward our vision of making creative engagement standard practice in caring for elders – and people with cognitive changes like dementia.
Both research and first hand experience has shown us that these simple engagement techniques can improve quality of life for both care partners.

We have selected our first partner organization to host our first Training Institute –
Save the Date for October 20/21 (Mon/Tues) in Atlanta, GA at AGRhodes.
There will be 22 slots available for the inaugural Train-the-Trainer Institute, and registration will open no later than September 15th.
