Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin: TimeSlips Trains Dementia Care Specialists in Statewide Initiative

With generous support from Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment, the Creative Care Institute for Dementia Care Specialists (DCSs) will provide TimeSlips’ evidence-based training and certification to 25 DCSs statewide. This training shares innovative communication techniques that allow for more enriching care partnerships between people with memory loss and those who care for them. Registration is now open! The deadline to apply is October 28, 2022.

Wisconsin-based Dementia Care Specialists will not only learn the evidence-based methodology and award-winning techniques, now shared by individuals in 22 countries globally, they will also be able to share these ideas with their networks of family caregivers and participate in an artistic initiative that shares the voices of Wisconsin elders and their care partners statewide.

We are proud to be partnering with the Medical College of Wisconsin on this project who will lead our evaluation efforts to measure the success of this initiative. Stay tuned to learn more as this project progresses!
