TimeSlips StoryKit Project Underway

With support from the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation, TimeSlips is partnering with Detroit-based creative firms Lafayette American and Midwest Common to design a new storykit. The human-centered design process began in January through a series of focus group gatherings in partnership with the Greater Michigan Chapter Alzheimer’s Association.

The goal is to design a resource to bring creative engagement to family and professional caregivers, from home settings to congregate care. Also as part of this initiative, Detroit-based project Manager Andrew Morton is guiding the creative team to prototype “Engagement Parties,” informal gathering of friends and family to learn three simple engagement techniques. Our vision is that Engagement Parties become joyful and supportive gatherings that empower caregivers to engage family and friends with memory loss.
