Mellie watched me cross the water
He’s in Jerusalem In 1960
Jerome George is 50 years old. He is married to Mellie. They have 3 children, ages 20, 30 and 25
It is fall and he is going from one rock to another to get to shore
He wants lunch
He’s a teacher and he has to be right on time
When he gets to shore he has to put on some dry clothes and eat his lunch.
He carrying papers – scientific papers – he is a scientist – it had to be done by night
He will have a tuna salad, celery and water and milk – his usual lunch
After lunch, he has to go back across the rocks to school to teach
He is out in the country – there are older places are there. He hears singing from a nearby church. He smells water and pine and musty. He hears the water: swish, swish, splash, splash.
He is happy, because it is the first time, he has hit every stone and he is concentrating. He is determined. He is meeting his wife and buddies for lunch
His wife took this picture. She was very happy that he was able to cross the rocks without falling.
This is a good story because I’m hungry
He finally gets to go there.
