Make Up a Story
Stories from Around the World
“Nightmare” & “Question Mark” & “Please Find Me!”
How did he get here?
There’s no footsteps. I think he fell out of a plane. A helicopter dropped him off… he flew there!
He walked there. The water’s not that deep.
I think he fell asleep and his beard grew. He’s in dirty water.
He climbed up the tree. It’s coming down so hard it would knock him off the tree.
It’s a picture assembled from many pictures. A ‘trompee.’
I think it’s a mirage.
It’s a man taking a pee, standing in water.
What kind of music is he playing?
Old time jazz. Marching Music. “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head” It’s not wet. How the heck could it be raining?
He’s playing his favourite children’s tunes.
He found the trumpet somewhere and he’s playing it.
He’s playing his trumpet. Asked what tune he’s playing & client answered: I don’t know, I can’t hear him!
Taps. They play it on the bugle.
It could be somebody else playing it. Where are his fingers?
He’s playing his violin. Asked what tune he’s playing & client answered: “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head”
I know what he’s playing! “Mary Had a Little Lamb.” On the accordion. (Sang song together)
Mary Had a Little Lamb… and her father was surprised!
What’s his name?
Ebeneezer.
I just want to hug him.
Foolish. Because there’s water behind him and he can’t get out of there.
What else is in the picture?
I see a shoe and a foot.
He’s got a dog with him. Funny looking dog!
It’s an umbrella from the sun. I thought it was an umbrella too.
That could be a bow and arrow. In a case.
There’s a bird flying right there.
What happens next?
He’s going to climb down off the tree.
A plane is going to come and get him because someone will see him and know he needs help.
He’s blurring a hole in the tree.
The sky is not green. Unless he’s going upside down and I doubt it.
It doesn’t even exist. He’s sleeping and waiting to wake up.
He’s in somebody’s dream.
He’s in a dream and the person he’s dreaming about wet the bed.
He wakes up and he’s having a nightmare.
He woke up the person who was dreaming about him and then he didn’t exist because the dream was gone. He poked him with the umbrella to wake him up!
The End
