The Gathering – Reunion
They are having lunch at a family get-together.
There are cakes and pies. There are also pastries.
Tressa says there is meat and Flo says there is pies.
Sally thinks it’s a family reunion.
Pat says its two sisters and they are a lot of children.
Deanna says there are great-grandchildren there and they are waiting for the food to come.
The two ladies look like twins.
Deanna thinks their names are Vernita and Sally.
Deanna has two sisters named Vernita and Sally.
People also bring extra friends to reunions and you’d have to pay for them.
Flo says that people also bring food to share.
Some participants think its fall, some think its summer.
There is no sunshine and people are wearing sweaters and jackets.
It looks chilly; it could be Michigan.
Flo can’t believe there’s no bugs. Nothing’s covered up!
Mark and Deanna say it looks like everyone’s getting along.
Pat thinks they are having lunch.
Flo thinks they are smiling.
Pat says they are dressed casual.
It’s cold and they have hats on.
Flo thinks there’s talking and there’s no songs playing.
They are in the woods.
The food looks good, but Flo thinks there can’t be any bugs because no one’s waving them away.
Some are saying it could be the 1980’s or maybe the 1950’s or 1960’s.
Flo thinks they didn’t spend a lot of time on their hair.
Afterwards, they ate too many sweets and they can’t have supper.
All the men are in the back.
Flo says all the women are working and it’s just like home! Joe agrees!
Flo is VERY concerned about the food being uncovered!
