The umbrella has seemed to (hand gesture to show umbrella
flipping inside out). She doesn’t seem to be looking for anyone. She’s walking
from the store across the street. Nobody knows where she’s going, not even her…Just
like getting married.
The sensible thing to do is to get out of the rain. “I’m singing in the rain…” (sing)
It’s fall and it’s soggy with mud and crunchy from the
backside of a garbage truck. You can smell garbage, oil and soil. It takes
place in an alley, or perhaps the middle of the street – depending on which
street. There are cobbled stone streets, so they may be in Boston. Don’t wear
your heels!
Let it be wet! It’s been raining for about an hour. There is
water in the street, plenty of it. Could be a flood. The woman is dressed
casually and not dressed for the rain. She’s got to be uncomfortable and cold.
She’s dressed in polyester...Ohh no.
She found the umbrella she is holding in someone’s backyard. The woman ends up
drenched and in garbage. We won’t say what she would say at the end of this day…
